This template should be used when the article appears to be written like a [[news article]] or a [[press release]]. It is used when the article may not be promotional or overly-negative, but is still unencyclopedic in tone.
==Placement==
Place at the top of the article or sections or both to alert editors.
==Usage==
;articles
* For articles needing major clean-up, place {{tlx|Cleanup-PR|article}} at the top of the ''main page''.
* For articles needing minor clean-up, place {{tlx|Cleanup-PR|article}} at the top of the ''talk page''.
;sections
* To mark specific sections instead of the whole article, place {{tlx|Cleanup-PR|section}} at the top of the section.
;remarks
* To replace the text "article or section", supply a first argument, e.g. {{tlx|Cleanup-PR|article}} {{tlx|Cleanup-PR|section}}
* To replace the text "a press release", you may use {{tlx|Cleanup-PR|article/section|yourtext}} or {{tlx|Cleanup-PR|2=yourtext}}
* You may use the optional date parameter, e.g. <code><nowiki>{{Cleanup-PR|</nowiki>date={{CURRENTMONTHNAME}} {{CURRENTYEAR}}<nowiki>}}</nowiki></code>. This helps with the categorization of articles requiring attention.
* The simplest way to add this template to an article is to copy and paste<code> <nowiki>{{Cleanup-PR|</nowiki>date={{CURRENTMONTHNAME}} {{CURRENTYEAR}}<nowiki>}}</nowiki></code> at the top of the article or talk page.
* Add a new item to the talk page explaining the problem so editors will know what to address, and when to remove this tag.
* This template adds articles to [[:Category:Articles with a promotional tone]]
==Notes==
*This template will add tagged articles to [[:Category:Articles with a promotional tone]].
*This [[Wikipedia:Template|template]] is a [[Wikipedia:Avoid self-references|self-reference]].
* Please do not [[Wikipedia:Subst|subst:]] this template.
