Articles using this template as shown above are placed into [[:Category:NPOV disputes]]. The {{para|bias}} parameter automatically italicizes whatever is specified there, and wikicode can be used (e.g. to link to a relevant article).
This template can take an optional date parameter in the format {{para|date|<var>Monthname</var> <var>YYYY</var>}} or {{para|date|{<nowiki />{subst:DATE<nowiki>}}</nowiki>}}. If the date is not included it will probably be added later by a [[WP:BOT|bot]]. Articles using this template with a date are added to ''Category:NPOV disputes from <var>Monthname</var> <var>YYYY</var>''.
