Over the past few weeks, i've seen many churches broadcasting their worship services online.Often people have asked if we are going to organize a live streaming service. Not yet, although circumstances may change after a time. Below are some of the factors why we have decided not to do the service online. 1) we are seeking to strengthen our will to worship together.

Pastor stephen recently made a helpful observation: "too often we allow our culture to creep into our daily lives and think that we must eliminate any bad feelings or any pain as quickly as possible. The lord often works through such painful circumstances. I think allowing that to manifest itself is not a bad thing."

While live streaming of a worship service cannot completely erase the pain of separation, it can mask the longing we feel for our own church's programs. Instead, we desire that the lord will use this period of separation to refresh our affection toward one another and our desire to gather together for corporate worship. In this time of social estrangement, let us grieve and seek to worship our great god together under the oversight of our brothers and sisters. 2) we do not desire to create a substitute for our corporate worship gatherings.

Live streaming of a worship service is not inherently wrong or sinful, but our company does not wish to inadvertently give the message that an online service is everything that in-person worship is with the people gathered. In other words, we don't think live streaming is a real, valid substitute for a church meeting.
Live streaming requires only a number of people gathered in one place. Everyone who joins the live stream participates there, usually by watching or singing along as an individual. The saints are not represented and worship is not corporate. We think the current covenant defines the church as a collection of christians gathered together for worship. We also hope that in that situation when a local church comes together for worship, something supernatural happens that there is no way to reproduce online. When we gather together we hear the voices of the saints singing together in worship, we pray together with such pastors especially those who pray, we have the pleasure of reading the words of scripture together with the reader, and we are edified together by the preached word. We will try to guard against the impression that online worship becomes a complete substitute for worship in the realm of brothers and sisters. Instead, we seek to capitalize on this unique season by encouraging church members to worship together in their homes.

3) we see this as an opportunity to encourage family worship. We expect that family worship is one of the greatest gifts parents can give their children, and a crisis like this is a chance for adults to begin or restore this spiritually beneficial practice. If you never know how to lead family worship, it's pretty easy. If you even have the spirit and the bible, you have the opportunity to go down this path! Absolutely all the user has to do is get the family together, read a scripture, and then pray and sing together. Every month we have a few family worship tips on our website that will help you do just that. If you need more tips, here is a short video from don whitney that can also help everyone with family worship. If you are feeling lonely or have no children at home, you also have a responsibility to do the same thing alone, with your spouse or those you live with. Use this period to produce good spiritual disciplines in your apartment to pursue god as a family or individually. 4) we need our professionals to use their time to serve in other ways.

Last week was one of the busiest weeks in the history of our church staff. People had to find creative ways to serve in the midst of a crisis and develop an effective communication plan. We regularly monitored new incidents from local and national organizations, and we responded to a variety of requests from a variety of people. We responded to a variety of requests and communicated with church members in a variety of ways. We made a tremendous number of phone calls to check in with members and make sure their needs were met, and at the end of the week we had to meet those needs. After the week was over, there was much more to be done to deal with the crisis.

As the pandemic created many challenges for the church, our professionals were no longer productive and we did not plan and conduct ministry in the process. Many pastors who conduct live services admit that planning a live service takes more attention than a regular service. While the first set of reasons are theological, this one is practical: by not live-streaming, our staff is able to plan their hours and minutes as wisely as possible in other stashes, ensuring that our church body is cared for and equipped for a season like this. 5) other online worship services are available for our congregants to explore. As stated above, we are not sure that live streaming is completely wrong or sinful, we just don't think it's best for people. But if you wish to watch a service live, take it! Find it very important and edifying, especially if it's part of personal family or private worship. Just take into consideration that it's not all about getting together with your own church family.

There are several churches that hold their services online. We trust these churches and hope they will be helpful.

Some believe live streaming is a great way for churches to contact people via the world wide web. While simultaneous connection to live streaming can provide a sense of networking, online services do not provide opportunities for visual contact among church members or any type of mutual engagement. But, we want our people to connect online and we believe there are better ways to facilitate that contact! Below are a few of the processes we will use to communicate with our members online. Pastor's wednesday evenings Every wednesday evening from 6:thirty to 7:30 p.M. Pastor nathan will host a free video conference for any of our members. These will be precious minutes where he can break some news, offer words of encouragement, address concerns, [videographer austin] and pray with the entire church. Virtual small groups We are launching virtual small classes starting sunday, march 29 to meet virtually weekly! The purpose of these small groups is to help our members connect on a variety of characteristics.Quite often these groups will read a scripture passage, talk about their own business, spend time praying for one another, and enjoy fun, lighthearted fellowship. To learn more about pastoral registration or to sign up for computer small groups, explore the covid-19 church updates article!" In fact, there are a number of factors why we have decided not to have live streaming worship services. While our managers are happy to disagree on the best approach to take in this interim, please know that there are no easy answers. Your pastors have discussed this option at length and have agreed that there are optimal ways to equip and encourage the lbc saints at this time.We continue to pray for all things that the lord would work in us as individuals, also as a church family when we are gathered together, in case we are apart.
